Deon is an active performer and passionate music educator. In addition to a Bachelor of Music (Performance) in both harp and piano from the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music, she holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Teaching and Master of Teaching from the University of Melbourne.

Deon is a seasoned and accomplished musician. She is regularly engaged for weddings, events and performances, and is highly sought after for her expertise. Her versatile playing covers a variety of musical genres including classical, contemporary and popular music, and is skilled at adapting to a variety of genres and settings.

Deon performs on a 2008 Lyon and Healy Style 85 Concert Grand and Lyon and Healy Odgen, made in Chicago. In her free time, Deon enjoys travelling, hiking and indulging in her love of baking.
